BirdDogHR VP of Marketing Named to 2018 Top Women Leaders in SaaS

DES MOINES, Iowa – October 30, 2018 – BirdDogHR™, the leader in talent management solutions for the construction, engineering and skilled trades industries, announced today that its Vice President of Marketing, Ann Torry, has been named to The SaaS Report’s (TSR) 2018 Top Women Leaders in SaaS.

According to TSR, award recipients were selected based on integrity, professional achievements, company performance, industry recognition and market influence. Torry was one of 50 women named to the list from over 3,500 nominations.

Torry has led the marketing initiatives at BirdDogHR since 2013 and was the first BirdDogHR leadership team member brought on by CEO, Todd Skokan. She is a key leader in the growth of the software as a service (SaaS) company, which has seen 30 to 57 percent revenue growth year over year with marketing driving 50 to 70 percent of new business revenue in this timeframe. BirdDogHR has also been on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for four consecutive years during Torry’s tenure.

“It’s an honor to be recognized along with the other female leaders in SaaS,” Torry said. “I hope to inspire other women to join the tech industry, be focused, show results, work toward their seat at the table and to be great servant leaders.”

“Ann is an indispensable leader and brings so much value to the BirdDogHR team,” Skokan said. “She has played a vital role in building the business, forming company culture, securing national partnerships with industry associations and organizing branding initiatives with Arcoro companies. She had been a strong competitor in our respective past roles; I knew I needed her on my team.”

A human capital management (HCM) veteran, Torry brings more than 16 years of expertise to the BirdDogHR marketing strategy. She has contributed to double-digit growth of several SaaS companies and has been published in Construction Executive, AGC’s Constructor Magazine, CLO Magazine and E-Learning! Magazine.

Torry is a native of Des Moines, Iowa, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. She also serves on the EveryStep Care and Support Services Board of Directors.

Torry joins leaders from Cisco Systems, Skilljar and SnapLogic on TSR’s Top Women Leaders in SaaS.
