BirdDog Announces Relationship with Associated General Contractors of America

DES MOINES, Iowa – March 5, 2014 – BirdDog, the leader in recruiting and applicant tracking solutions (ATS) for the construction and skilled trades industries, today announced that it is now an affinity program provider for the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America. AGC provides a full range of services to meet the needs and concerns of its members and improve the quality of construction and protect public interest.

The construction industry is facing multiple opportunities and challenges in 2014. According to the association’s 2014 Construction Industry Hiring and Business Outlook, two-thirds of construction firms report they are already having trouble finding qualified workers to fill positions. As an affinity program provider to the AGC of America, BirdDog can bring construction and skilled trade talent acquisition expertise to AGC members and help those companies recruit, attract and hire the top talent they need for business success. This additional recruitment support can also benefit federal contractors and subcontractors impacted by changes released from the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. BirdDog can support all organizations required to be in compliance with the changes to the recruitment outreach to veterans and individuals with disabilities going into effect on March 24, 2014.

“As demand for construction continues to grow, many of our members could go from not having enough work to not having enough workers,” said Stephen E. Sandherr, the association’s chief executive officer. “This new partnership should make it easier to connect firms looking to hire with qualified applicants from across the country.”

“AGC of America is committed to serving the needs of the U.S. construction industry and BirdDog mirrors that commitment. We are very excited to reach out to the industry in a new way, offering AGC of America members new strategies to help them hire the people they need to deliver exceptional customer value,” said Todd Skokan President and CEO at BirdDog.

As an affinity program provider, AGC of America and BirdDog will kick off this new relationship at the 95th Annual AGC Convention with ConnExpo March 3-6 in Las Vegas, NV. BirdDog will sponsor two networking sessions on Wednesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 6 from 9:30 am-12:00 pm at the Bellagio Hotel.
