BirdDogHR and the AGC of Kansas Join Together to Drive Career Seekers to Jobs in Construction

Combined Effort to Recruit New Workers to the Kansas Construction Industry and Close the Skills Gap for Members

DES MOINES, Iowa – March 16, 2016 – BirdDogHR™, the leader in talent management solutions for the construction, engineering and skilled trades industries and the AGC of Kansas “The Chamber of Commerce for the Construction Industry in Kansas” today announced the creation of a Human Resource Platform and Careers Page that serves in promoting construction jobs and training opportunities from Kansas in one central location. The new Human Resource Platform and Career Page is part of AGC of Kansas strategic training and workforce development initiative. The Human Resource Platform and Career Page ( offers an easy way for career seekers to locate and apply for jobs and training opportunities in the construction industry.

The new Human Resource Platform and Career Page was launched on January 6, 2016. This is a no-fee service for AGC of Kansas members that will help them meet the growing workforce challenges facing the industry and the state.

"AGC of Kansas partners with nearly 100 Kansas High-Schools/Vo-Tech Centers/Community Colleges in delivering a credentialed construction curriculum (NCCER materials) which accounts for nearly 4,000 students. When talking with students, we’ve found they are not sure where to start their career search. Our new Human Resource Platform and Career Page will serve as the hub for all jobs and training opportunities making it easier for students and graduates to find a professional career in the construction industry,” said Mike Gibson, AGC of Kansas Executive Vice President. “Our Human Resource Platform and Career Page is helping to promote our construction contractors’ jobs and training opportunities to interested career seekers. Plus, it supports our association’s continued effort in educating individuals on the viability of a professional career in construction industry.”

“The construction industry provides great security and rewarding career choices,” said Bryan May, VP of Business Development at BirdDogHR. “More and more educators, parents and students are seeing careers in construction as a viable and rewarding path compared to the high stakes gamble and debt created by four year colleges and universities.” The new Human Resource Platform and Career Page is part of the AGC of Kansas’s Strategic Workforce and Training initiative for careers in construction. BirdDogHR continues to collaborate with the Associated General Contractors of America and several state chapters like the AGC of Kansas, helping their members find future workers and close the skills gap through software and services designed to help recruit, engage, assess, develop, and retain the people they need now and in the future.
