DES MOINES, Iowa – September 22, 2015 – BirdDogHR™, the leader in talent management solutions for the construction, engineering and skilled trades industries, and the leading construction association in Nevada – AGC Las Vegas, chapter of Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) today announced the creation of a new career site targeting workers for the Nevada Construction Industry. The new Construction Careers Page is part of the AGC Las Vegas website and located at http://www.agclv.org/jobs offers an easy way for career seekers to locate and apply for jobs in the construction industry.
The new Construction Careers Page was launched on August 25, 2015. This is a no-fee service for AGC Las Vegas members that will help them meet the growing workforce challenges facing the industry and the state.
“The recession of 2008 really hurt,” said Sean Stewart, CEO for the AGC Las Vegas. “We lost many employees to other industries and/or retirement. With our industry improving rapidly, our members need help identifying qualified workers. Our Construction Careers Page is helping to promote members’ jobs to interested career seekers. Plus, it plays a role in educating individuals on the viability of careers in construction.”
“The construction industry offers great earning potential and job security,” said Bryan May, VP of Business Development at BirdDogHR. “The opportunities that are being created by the Las Vegas construction boom and the retirements of baby boomers make for an attractive landing spot for Millennials still deciding on a career. We continue to collaborate with the Associated General Contractors of America and several state chapters like those in Las Vegas. We help their members find future workers and close the skills gap through software and services designed to help recruit, engage, assess, develop and retain the people they need now and in the future.”
