The technology partnership will enable commercial contractors to improve the acquisition and onboarding of their employees while also placing emphasis on employee retention and overall human resources management.
According to the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America, the construction industry is approaching a shortage of qualified or skilled labor. The study indicates that a majority of the 2 million construction workers who lost their jobs during the Great Recession have either retired or found careers in other industries while teens are being pushed toward college. With these trends, many construction companies are finding that they do not have enough skilled workers to fill the positions available and their processes utilized in doing so are outdated, manual and inconsistent.
“We are pleased to partner with BirdDog in our pursuit to help our mutual customers attract and recruit talent,” stated Mike Bihlmeier, President of Computer Guidance Corporation. “This collaboration is another example of our continued commitment to the construction industry and our customers, allowing them to grow and prosper as they utilize our construction solutions.”
“Organizations find it increasingly challenging to identify and hire top talent especially in today’s labor shortage construction market,” said Todd Skokan, president and CEO of BirdDog. “The new integration with Computer Guidance’s ERP strengthens the entire human resources process from job application and recruiting to retention and administration.”
